BIOGRAPHY

The 2016 Grammy recognized Unisoul Recording Artist Guitarist/Bassist, writer, producer; SCOTT MARVILL is no stranger to great music. Originally from Philadelphia, PA his exploration of music started at a very early age. Always surrounded by music it was a natural move to play any and all instruments found in the family household.

In his twenties, he found himself attending Combs College of Music, playing gigs, teaching guitar and bass, traveling and being a session man throughout Philly. He worked with numerous acts such as The Temptations, Four Tops, Leslie Gore, The Dovells, and most of the touring oldies acts as well as jazz artists like Special EFX and Grover Washington Jr. This activity put him on a lifelong musical journey.

Since starting his Smooth Jazz group Freeport in 2006 and solo career in 2017 he has shared the stage and studio with rising artists, legends and Grammy award winners in the jazz community such as Bob James, Kirk Whalum, Gerald Albright, Chuck Loeb, Jeff Lorber, Andy Snitzer, Marion Meadows, Nils, Bob Baldwin, Chris Godber, Dee Lucas, Tower Of Power, and the list goes on.

He has released “Rudy feat. Jeff Lorber”, “We Are Here feat.Chuck Loeb”, “2AM”, Philly”, “Horizons”, and his latest “Blueish Green” on the Unisoul Records label.
